February 11th saw the release of the romantic comedy “Love and Leashes” on Netflix. To commemorate the event, Netflix has released a new poster featuring the leading stars Seohyun and Lee Jun-young. In the special poster, the two have heart candies in their mouths and are glancing seductively at the camera. Bondage career in the form of fuzzy handcuffs and a collar are also visible.
Director Park Hyeon-jin has described “Love and Leashes” as an attempt to explore the personal romantic tastes of people different than herself. Park Hyeon-jin herself does not appear to be a member of BDSM culture, though “Love and Leashes” is carefully researched. The film notes that a dom-sub relationship is not necessarily equivalent to a dating relationship due to the innate power imbalance. “Love and Leashes” is available to stream on Netflix worldwide.
