This is not an exercise: The K-Beauty platform welcomes community favorite brands Naturium, Nécessaire and Versed for a limited time.
Soko Glam is once again leading the meaningful work in the skincare and beauty industry with the second edition of Beauty For Good, the Conscious Beauty Collective.
Back in May, we announced the first Beauty For Good capsule collection from the K-Beauty destination, the AAPI Founder’s Group, which sought to bolster the voices of Asian-American beauty founders. The initiative went further and donated a portion of the capsule collection proceeds to the AAPI Community Fund.
This time around, Soko Glam’s landmarks are focusing on promoting a greener space for beauty and skincare. In order to focus on community-supported (and beloved) brands that do some serious good, Soko Glam hired partner One Tree Planted, Naturium, Versed, the affordable line that pays recycled vacuums with Instagram, and chic certified body care brand Nécessaire.
Emphasizing their message, during the month of December, Soko Glam will donate a portion of the proceeds from the Conscious Beauty Collective to 1% For The Planet, a global movement with a unique model that supports a network of nonprofit organizations that address pressing environmental issues through money and action.
the Conscious Beauty Collective arrives in Soko Glam on December 21, featuring over 20 products from three totally sustainable and Instagrammable brands.
Let’s explore some of the new sustainable goodies coming to Soko Glam this week!
temper nature azelaic acid emulsion 10%
Naturium was created by skinfluencer Susan Yara, and focused on creating a greener skin care industry. Not only does the brand have an ongoing partnership with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization that looks to “restore forests, create habitats for biodiversity and create positive social impact around the world,” but it also partners with Plastic Bank, which employs coastal community members to collect bottles plastic and plastic waste that would otherwise end up in the ocean. We love hearing that!
Possibly our favorite of Naturium’s newest azelaic acid emulsion to hit Soko Glam, Naturium’s Azelaic Acid 10% Emulsion harnesses the power of azelaic acid, a gentle alternative to AHAs and BHAs, to help fight breakouts and keep skin looking radiant. The alternative is the star when it comes to fighting hormonal acne. Did we mention that this lightweight emulsion contains niacinamide to increase skin brightness?
essential body scrub
Besides being totally aesthetic, this influential body care brand is committed to offsetting its carbon footprint. They are so committed that they have been certified climate-neutral since 2019 and have just been certified plastic-neutral.
The body care Holy Grail group also donates 1% of its annual sales to environmental causes as a member of 1% to The Planet.
One of the brand’s best-selling products, Nécessaire’s The Body Exfoliator combines the best of chemical and physical exfoliation methods to leave the body incredibly soft and smooth. Although this gel scrub works well for all skin types, it is a great choice for those with keratosis pilaris because it helps lighten all the signs of strawberry skin!
versed Duo Point Moisturizing Gel Cream
Let’s get into focused recycling Versed! The brand prides itself on its affordability, but also its in-house recycling program.
They allow you to cut the trip to the nearest skincare dump through their recycling program. Just wait until you have 3 sociable blanks to email the brand regarding your recycling desires. They will send you a prepaid label that you can stick to the box you filled with your now no-product containers. Then all you have to do is leave it at your local FedEx location. The best part? Versed will send you a code for 15% off your next purchase as a thank you!
Versed vacuums are easy to assemble, especially with products like Dew Point Moisturizing Gel Cream. The fun starts with texture, the dream of a lightweight gel, and continues with the formula with hydrating favorites like hyaluronic acid and aloe vera.
